Broadway Museum & Art Gallery in the Cotswolds

The world famous Ashmolean Museum in Oxford has worked with various partners to transform a historic house in the beautiful village of Broadway into the Cotswolds’ newest museum.

The Ashmolean Museum Broadway displays objects from the 17th to the 21st centuries over three floors of Tudor House, a former 17th Century coaching inn.

Displays include objects from the founding Tradescant collections of the Ashmolean Museum and there is also gallery space dedicated to special exhibitions, also providing opportunities for local artists, as well as education and outreach programmes.

The museum had its ‘soft’ opening in September 2013 with additional objects being added to the collection over the first few months.

Comments from visitors have included “Superb and gracious building, with dreamy views” and “A beautiful display of the collection from the Ashmolean in a unique, historical building in the heart of Broadway”.

The museum is open six days a week (closed Mondays) from 10am-5pm.
