Over 10,000 people visit the brewery’s Visitor Centre each year and the Brewery Museum houses some of the old equipment that has been used across the years at Hook Norton, alongside many fascinating records and photographs from the era.
This museum also contains artefacts from the village of Hook Norton and the surrounding area with special focus on the former Banbury and Cheltenham Direct Railway, part of the Great Western Railway, which had a station at East End in Hook Norton which closed in 1951. In addition, it covers the history of the several nearby ironstone quarries.
Two brewery tours take place every day of the week, excluding Sundays. They start from the Visitors Centre and last approximately two hours. The first 90 minutes are spent around the brewery where visitors can see the brewery’s original steam engine and learn about the history of the brewery and how it makes its range of beers.
Visitors might be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the brewery’s working Shire horses, which still deliver beer to local pubs. the horses and dray can be seen on Thursdays and Fridays around noon.
