David is new to kayaking but is following his dream of taking on this challenge to raise money for the charity and increase awareness of the mental health problems.
The trip will be tough and David estimates that the journey, which is approaching 200 miles in length, will take about two weeks to complete.
David has done a fantastic job of raising nearly £800 to date and is nearing his target of £1,000, and he says to exceed this amount would be “simply amazing”.
David welcomes all donations to his just giving site www.justgiving.com/Dave-Gander and anyone who would like to offer logistical support, including contacts for places to stay en-route should contact him via (email/telephone) on 07756 660 841 or at davegander2407@yahoo.co.uk
