Anne Townsend, events co-ordinator for The Door, said: “We may still be stuck inside and apart from our loved ones but that doesn’t mean we can’t stay connected, and it’s really important that we do. So whether you join as a family, a household or go solo you will be part of a community of quizzers all here to have fun and to support The Door.”
“There will be six rounds of five questions, with a break after the first three so you can recharge your glass or make a dash for the loo! Players will need to record and mark their own answers. This is just for fun but no cheating please. (We know you’re better than that!)”
Entry is free with a suggested donation of £3 per player which will go towards funding The Door’s work across the Stroud District, providing mental health support and offering hope to young people aged 11-25 and their families.
Faye Hatcher said: “I’m so honoured to be MC’ing The Door’s quiz! It’s a really simple way of having a bit of fun and raising money for a great cause. Personally, I’m appalling at quizzes and you really wouldn’t want me on your team, it’s much safer with me asking the questions!”
To join in live, go to www.facebook.com/thedoorstroud between 7:45pm and 8pm on Tuesday 30th June and have a pen and paper ready for the first questions at 8pm.
