A new provider will soon be serving up freshly cooked meals made from locally sourced quality ingredients to Gloucestershire schoolchildren.
Gloucestershire County Council yesterday awarded a new contract to Caterlink to provide healthy school meals to primary and special schools. The agreement will begin in July and will run until July 2020.

The owners of the Old Prison at Northleach, the Friends of the Cotswolds charity, is celebrating raising the first £100,000 towards the conservation of the Grade II* Listed Georgian building.
With the assistance of a generous grant from the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust, they have recently been able to complete some urgent conservation work to the building, situated on the Fosse Way just outside Northleach.

The departing chairman of Cotswold District Council, Cllr Clive Bennett, has boosted the funds of two charities that received his official support during his term in office.
During the first meeting of the new council since the recent local elections, Cllr Bennett announced that events he had organised had raised almost £559 each for Garrison Girls and Scoo-B-Doo – a grand total of about £1,117.

Cotswold District Council has elected Cllr Mark Annett as its new chairman, replacing the outgoing chairman Cllr Clive Bennett.
Cllr Annett, who lives in Chipping Campden and represents Campden and Vale ward for the Conservatives, was previously the vice-chairman and that role will now be filled by Cllr Julian Beale.
