They’ve only gone and done it again! The team at the Everyman Theatre have come up with an absolute knockout of a pantomime that is one of the best (if not THE best) I’ve ever seen.
After last year’s run was curtailed by Covid, this year’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk is just pure pantomime class.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) has ended its pre-Christmas operating season in spectacular style, with a two-day mixed traction gala that attracted almost 2,000 passengers.
The event, over the weekend of 6-7 November, was staged as a finale to the railway’s 40th anniversary with eight locomotives operating – four steam, four diesel plus a diesel multiple-unit – working an intensive timetable that included a freight train. There were in addition, double-headed and non-stop services each day.

Thirty years ago two youthworkers from a church in Minchinhampton had a vision to set up a youth café in Stroud.
After recruiting a small team of volunteers they opened The Door Youth Project at the bottom of Gloucester Street on Friday evenings and Saturdays.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) features in a new four-part series hosted by ‘national treasure’ Pam Ayres, being aired by Channel 5 from today (September 17) at 8pm.
The railway is covered in the third programme of the series on Friday, October 1. It chronicles Pam’s visit earlier this year when she took a round trip over the line, starting from Toddington station, calling at Winchcombe, Cheltenham Racecourse and back via Broadway, chatting to volunteers along the way.

Today (Wednesday, July 21) the project to build a Performing Arts Centre (PAC) at Chipping Campden School (CCS) receives a huge boost of £125,000 funding from property developer Duchy Homes.
The PAC, a £3.8 million project, is due for completion by the end of the year and will open to the public in Spring 2022.
